Job Description
Kinter builds agents for mid-market finance teams. Prepaid, accruals, payroll, reconciliation, and more: the repetitive, judgment-heavy work that keeps finance teams stuck in spreadsheets every close.
We're a lean, product-centric team (~30 people) moving fast with an exciting product we launched a few months ago. Backed by a16z, Bain Capital Ventures, and Y Combinator, we're now at the stage where marketing needs a hands-on leader who can turn a small team into a real pipeline engine. What matters most is that you've been close to pipeline and revenue generation, not that you've had the biggest title.
Today the team consists of one person focused on demand gen and one focused on brand and design. You'll work directly alongside them, roll up your sleeves on execution where needed, and grow the team thoughtfully as pipeline results justify it.
How you'll make an impact here
- Own pipeline and define the strategy across paid, content, events, and outbound
- Own demand generation, outbound, and GTM alignment with our sales motion, working closely with our CRO to make sure marketing programs translate directly into qualified pipeline and revenue.
- Working closely with our demand gen manager to build and refine the demand gen engine, sharpening our outbound approach, and creating a tight feedback loop between marketing, sales, and product so messaging and targeting keep improving.
- Building strong marketing ops foundation for the team to accurately understand and predict performance and attribution.
- Building Kinter's presence and voice in the market, helping to create content that supports both demand gen and our long-term positioning and messaging that helps prospects and customers understand why Kinter is different from legacy automation and point solutions.
- Manage and grow a small team (currently one demand gen manager and one brand/design lead), setting priorities and staying close to execution
- Stay close to the market, our competitors, and our buyers (finance and accounting leaders) to keep our story sharp and differentiated
What you'll bring to the team
- Successful track record of B2B SaaS marketing leadership owning pipeline and revenue results, ideally at an early-stage or startup company
- Bonus points for experience marketing fintech, accounting, or finance software, or AI or AI-native products
- Experience aligning marketing tightly with a sales-led GTM motion, including outbound. We care more about proximity to pipeline and hands-on execution than title or team size managed previously
- A bias toward hands-on execution: you're comfortable being one of a small number of marketers doing the work yourself, not just directing others
- Can see the big picture while skilled enough to run all of marketing (and hire for it), not just once piece.
- Exceptional leader who’s great at hiring, onboarding, coaching, helping the team grow, and getting them excited to go fast
- Strong instincts for brand, content, and product marketing that you can layer in once the pipeline engine is running
How we work
Everyone at Kinter operates by five values. Here's what they look like in this role specifically:
- Be Fearless: There's no established demand gen playbook here yet. You'll build the pipeline engine from scratch rather than wait for someone else to hand you a proven motion
- Just Do It: With a two-person team and a lot of ground to cover, a campaign the team can launch and iterate on this week beats a fully polished plan that takes a quarter
- Sweat the Details: Sloppy targeting, a mismatched message, or fuzzy attribution wastes pipeline dollars and sales time. Precision in segmentation, messaging, and reporting is what makes the pipeline number trustworthy
- Obsess Over Customers: You'll spend real time with finance and accounting leaders to understand what actually gets their attention, not just what looks good in a campaign brief
- Tell It Like It Is: If a campaign isn't working, a message isn't landing, or sales and marketing are out of sync, we want to hear that directly from you, early, not buried in a quarterly readout
