The Future Platforms Team - Executing on EliseAI’s Future Products
The Future Platforms team is responsible for executing on the next generation of AI products and business lines. This team will blend go-to-market, product, operations, and strategy with a mandate to push the frontier of AI and own everything required to take them from idea to market leadership.
Our goal is to take Elise from agentic AI to truly end-to-end autonomous operations, fundamentally transforming how housing operators run their businesses and how residents experience their homes.
Future Platforms will operate as a startup within a startup, run like a Seed or Series A company but with the capital, resources, and market access of a well-funded Series E, deep C-suite involvement (CEO, CRO, CSO, CTO) and founder-level ownership from day one.
About The Role
As a Sales Engineer at EliseAI, you will help found and scale a critical function at the intersection of product, growth, and finance.
You will serve as the accounting and finance subject matter expert in the room—partnering directly with our product and GTM team to win enterprise deals, shape product direction, and build credibility with senior finance leaders. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role where you’ll help translate Elise’s platform into the language of CFOs and Controllers while influencing how our accounting product evolves. Additionally, you will help make strategic decisions and weigh in on product direction and scoping, and develop a robust product tool kit.
You’ll operate like a founder: owning ambiguous problems, driving deals forward, and helping define how Elise wins with finance buyers.
Key Responsibilities
Own finance-facing sales support
Partner with Sales and Account Executives on enterprise and strategic deals as the accounting/finance expert
Lead tailored product demos for CFOs, Controllers, and Finance leaders, translating platform capabilities into clear accounting workflows and outcomes
Act as the bridge between technical product capabilities and real-world finance operations
Be the credibility layer for finance buyers
Engage directly with prospect CFOs, VPs of Finance, and Controllers to build trust in Elise’s accounting rigor
Confidently handle detailed accounting and workflow questions, such as:
Intercompany eliminations
Bank reconciliation processes
Period close workflows
Audit readiness and controls
Position Elise as a system finance teams can rely on for accuracy, compliance, and scalability
Shape product through customer insight
Translate recurring objections, feature gaps, and workflow needs into actionable product feedback
Partner with Product and Engineering to refine accounting features and prioritize roadmap investments
Help define what “best-in-class” looks like for accounting workflows within Elise
Drive go-to-market strategy for accounting product
Support positioning, messaging, and enablement for finance-specific use cases
Build demo environments, playbooks, and repeatable narratives for selling into finance teams
Enable the broader GTM org to confidently speak to accounting personas

Requirements:
We’re looking for someone who combines deep accounting expertise with a builder mindset:
Background as a Controller, Accounting Manager, or finance related roles (ideally in a high-growth or tech-enabled environment)
Experience working at or closely with tech startups (fintech, ERP, accounting software, or adjacent)
Strong understanding of core accounting workflows (close, reconciliations, consolidations, controls)
Comfortable translating between finance, product, and technical teams
Excellent communicator who can build credibility with senior finance stakeholders quickly
Highly autonomous, action-oriented, and comfortable operating in ambiguity
Excited to help define a new function and influence product direction
Willingness to work in person at our office 4-5 days a week

Job Compensation Range
The salary range for this role is $160,000 - $250,000. EliseAI offers a competitive total rewards package which includes base salary, equity, and a comprehensive benefits & perks package. Exact compensation is determined based on a number of factors including experience, skill level, location and qualifications which are assessed during the interview process. Additional details about total compensation and benefits will be provided by our Recruiting Team during the hiring process.
