Job Description

About Us

Dili is a YC-backed, Series A startup using AI to automate compliance and due diligence for the $10T industrial economy, starting with prevailing wage and apprenticeship compliance.

Our platform helps developers, EPCs, contractors, and compliance teams manage complex labor requirements across energy, data center, infrastructure, manufacturing, and construction projects. Dili turns payroll records, regulations, and fragmented project data into clear compliance results, helping customers pass audits, protect funding, and keep projects moving.

Role Overview

We’re hiring a Product Manager to own meaningful areas of Dili’s product from problem discovery through launch and iteration.

You’ll work directly with customers, engineers, designers, compliance experts, and the founders. You’ll be responsible for understanding difficult operational and regulatory problems, deciding which ones are worth solving, and turning them into products that customers can rely on.

This is a hands-on role at an early-stage company. You’ll spend time talking to users, analyzing workflows and data, writing clear requirements, making tradeoffs with engineering, testing what the team builds, and measuring whether it worked. You should be comfortable moving between strategy and execution.

Your First 90 Days

30 days: Learn the product and compliance domain hands-on. Join customer calls, review support issues, shadow internal teams, and understand how customers manage projects from onboarding through closeout.

60 days: Take ownership of a product area or workflow. Develop a clear view of its users, recurring problems, product gaps, and priorities. Begin leading discovery, writing specifications, and coordinating delivery with engineering and design.

90 days: Ship a meaningful product improvement from discovery through launch. Establish the roadmap and success measures for your area, and become the person the team relies on to make informed product decisions within it.

Responsibilities

Own product areas: Develop a deep understanding of your users and own the roadmap, priorities, and outcomes for one or more parts of the product.

Talk to users: Lead customer interviews, observe real workflows, and distinguish recurring product problems from one-off requests.

Define what to build: Turn ambiguous customer, business, and regulatory needs into clear problem statements, product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Drive execution: Work closely with engineering and design throughout development, resolve open questions quickly, and keep projects moving without unnecessary process.

Prioritize thoughtfully: Balance customer impact, business value, technical constraints, regulatory requirements, and long-term product direction.

Own quality: Test new functionality, identify edge cases, coordinate launches, and make sure the finished product solves the intended problem.

Use data: Analyze product usage and operational data to identify friction, validate assumptions, and measure outcomes.

Partner across the company: Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Compliance, and Operations to understand what customers need and help the company deliver it.

Improve how we build: Help establish lightweight processes that give the team clarity without slowing it down.

Qualifications

  • Experience owning and shipping software products used by real customers.
  • Strong product judgment and the ability to identify the underlying problem behind a customer request.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication.
  • Comfortable working closely with engineers and discussing technical constraints and tradeoffs.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience using data to investigate problems and make decisions.
  • Able to turn ambiguity into structure and move work forward without waiting for perfect information.
  • Willing to get into the details, test the product yourself, and take responsibility for the final result.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change as the company learns.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with B2B SaaS, enterprise software, workflow products, or operational tools.
  • Familiarity with SQL, APIs, data pipelines, or AI-enabled products.
  • Experience building products that involve complex rules, documents, or multi-party workflows.
  • Experience working at an early-stage startup.

What We Offer

  • Significant ownership over an important product at a growing Series A company.
  • Direct access to customers, founders, and company decision-making.
  • The opportunity to solve difficult problems in industries where better software has a measurable real-world impact.
  • Competitive salary and equity.
  • Hybrid culture based in our Union Square office, with four in-office days per week.
