IDR Filing Specialist

Compensation
$45,000–$65,000/year

Job Description

Clearest Health is building the most advanced Independent Dispute Resolution platform in healthcare. We help out-of-network providers recover underpaid claims under the No Surprises Act using proprietary benchmark data, automation, and expert filing operations.

We’re hiring an IDR Filing Specialist who knows the NSA/IDR workflow and wants to do more than repetitive data entry. This role is for someone who can review a claim, understand what matters, spot filing risks, and move disputes forward with speed and accuracy. Our software handles much of the repetitive administrative work. Your experience, judgment, and attention to detail are what make the difference.

What You’ll Do

  • Review out-of-network claims, EOBs, remits, payer responses, and supporting documentation to determine IDR readiness
  • Prepare and submit No Surprises Act IDR filings through the appropriate portals
  • Track deadlines across open negotiation, initiation, batching, offer submission, and payment follow-up
  • Identify claim issues, missing documentation, payer inconsistencies, and filing risks before they become problems
  • Work with Clearest’s platform to manage dispute workflows, case statuses, and required documentation
  • Help improve our IDR filing playbooks as we scale from manual expertise to tech-enabled operations
  • Partner closely with the founding team on a fast-moving, high-impact part of the business

What Makes This Role Different

This is not a traditional data-entry job.

Most IDR roles bury experienced operators in spreadsheets, portals, and repetitive status updates. At Clearest, the goal is to automate the mechanical parts and put experienced people where they matter most: reviewing claims, making judgment calls, catching edge cases, and filing disputes correctly.

If you’ve worked in IDR, out-of-network billing, payer disputes, appeals, collections, or revenue cycle operations, we want your expertise, not just your typing speed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience with No Surprises Act IDR, out-of-network claims, payer disputes, appeals, or healthcare revenue cycle
  • Familiarity with EOBs, remittance advice, CPT codes, payer underpayments, and claim documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort managing deadlines
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced startup environment
  • Comfort using software tools, portals, spreadsheets, and workflow systems
  • Clear written communication and organized documentation habits

Bonus Points

  • Direct experience filing NSA IDR disputes
  • Experience with CMS IDR portals, payer negotiations, batching, or arbitration documentation
  • Background in emergency medicine, anesthesia, radiology, surgery, or other OON-heavy specialties
  • Experience at an IDR vendor, billing company, RCM firm, provider group, or payer dispute team

Why Join Clearest

Clearest Health is building the operating system for IDR. We combine deep claims expertise with proprietary national benchmark data and AI-assisted workflows to help providers recover money they are already owed.

You’ll join early, work directly with the founding team, and help define how IDR operations should work when experienced specialists are supported by modern software instead of buried under manual tasks.
