Job Description
Most enterprise AI dies in the proof of concept. Forward deployed engineering is how we avoid that: you sit inside the customer's workflow — on site, in the bid room, in the procurement process — and build until the work actually gets done differently.
This is not consulting and it is not a demo role. You ship product. You take a real bottleneck at a real contractor, build the agent workflow that removes it, prove the outcome in numbers, and bring what you learned back into the core platform.
You are the shortest path from a customer problem to working software — and the reason our agents survive contact with the real world.
What you'll do
- Own named accounts end to end: understand the workflow, configure and extend our agents against their real documents and data, and get them into daily use
- Write code — integrations, data pipelines, prompts, evals, glue, and occasionally a whole new feature, whatever it takes to make the workflow work at that customer
- Define what success means before you start, then prove it: hours saved, bids won, risks caught
- Turn what only shows up in production into roadmap — patterns, failure modes and reusable building blocks that make the next deployment faster than the last
You might be a fit if
- You have several years building and shipping software — Python and/or TypeScript, APIs, data pipelines, databases and SQL
- You're comfortable with LLMs and modern AI tooling; we operate as an AI-first company
- You've worked directly with customers, or you have a clear appetite for it
- You go to where the work happens — site visits, bid rooms, warehouses — instead of guessing from a backlog
- You write clearly. At Brickanta, writing creates clarity and everything important gets documented
- You're pragmatic about craft: you know when to hack and when to build it properly
- You're comfortable with ambiguity, and with being the only engineer in the room
- You speak Swedish and English
Construction, real estate or industrial experience is a strong plus. We're looking for engineers who like customers, and customer-facing people who actually ship — the unusual profile matters more than the perfect CV.
What success looks like
- Deployments reach daily use instead of stalling after the pilot
- Every customer engagement ends with a number attached to it
- The second deployment is faster than the first, because you turned the first into building blocks
- The product roadmap reflects what's actually breaking in the field
This seat sits close to everything — product, AI engineering and the customer. It can grow toward leading deployments and a team of FDEs, or inward toward core AI and platform engineering, depending on where you become most effective.
The practical details
Mid to senior; we care more about what you've built than about years. On-site as default at Linnégatan 89B, Stockholm, with meaningful time at customers. Competitive salary and equity — you're early enough for it to matter. Start as soon as you can.
Process
Intro call, 15–20 minutes. A practical case — a short task or working session that reflects the actual job. Then come to the office and meet the team. Fast process, quick feedback at every stage.
