About Bluelight
Bluelight is building software tools to help home service contractors build successful businesses.
We are relentlessly pursuing a world where analytics and AI products deliver actual real-world value, not just hype.
The Job at a Glance
As a Product Engineer you will build and own products & features from beginning to end.
This means talking to users, understanding our strategy and goals, and figuring out what you (and the team) should be building next.
What You’ll Do
Product engineers at Bluelight are truly full stack. You’ll design and ship the front end in React/Next.js, write Postgres and/or Clickhouse queries, and, depending on the team, develop and fine-tune machine learning models in Python.
- Develop and optimize applications within our tech stack (Next.js and Postgres).
- Transform low-fidelity UX wireframes into high-quality, functional user interfaces.
- Collaborate closely with the founding team to refine both product and technical roadmaps.
- Design and implement effective product growth loops in partnership with our product team.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a proven track record of successful projects that significantly improved user experience.
- Possesses a deep understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
- Has hands-on experience developing and shipping applications using Next.js and Postgres.
- Thrives in a startup environment—self-motivated, highly efficient, and capable of working independently.
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or has equivalent practical experience.
Why Bluelight?
Join us and contribute to a team that values innovation, efficiency, and direct impact. At Bluelight, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Work remotely with flexible hours.
- Engage with a team that’s driven by innovation and committed to operational excellence.
- Play a key role in a startup environment where your contributions have visible impacts.
- Enjoy the potential for contract extension and further professional growth within our company.
