About Bloomy
Bloomy is an AI-native academic system for K-12 schools, providing curriculum, AI teaching, and assessment. We help schools deliver personalized instruction in core academic subjects, identifying what each student needs and helping them master it.
Backed by Y Combinator, Reach Capital, Robinhood Ventures, and many more, Bloomy is growing rapidly, with early school partners and promising initial results for student learning. Founded by Alex Southmayd, a former teacher and Teach For America alum, Bloomy is built around the needs of students and educators across the country.
The role
We’re hiring a Partnerships Account Manager to help our school and district partners succeed with Bloomy. You’ll own the full post-sale relationship, from onboarding and training through ongoing adoption, renewals, and expansion.
You’ll work directly with the founder and closely with our Partnerships Account Executive to ensure that every new partnership gets off to a strong start. Once a partner signs, you’ll become their primary point of contact, helping educators put Bloomy into practice and helping district leaders understand the value it delivers.
This is a hands-on role that combines instructional support, relationship management, and commercial responsibility. You’ll spend time in schools, lead training, work through implementation challenges, and build the relationships that help partners continue and expand their use of Bloomy.
What you’ll do
- Lead onboarding and implementation. Take a clear handoff from the founder or Account Executive and turn each partner’s goals into a practical launch plan. Coordinate timelines, account setup, rostering, training, and responsibilities with school and district teams.
- Train and support educators. Lead engaging in-person and virtual sessions for teachers, instructional coaches, and administrators. Help educators incorporate Bloomy into their instructional routines and use its reporting to guide their work.
- Drive sustained adoption. Monitor usage, gather feedback, and identify where implementation is working or getting stuck. Follow through with specific actions that help schools build consistent, effective use.
- Build strong partner relationships. Develop trust with teachers, school leaders, and district decision-makers. Lead regular conversations about progress, priorities, and next steps, keeping the people responsible for renewal engaged throughout the year.
- Own renewals and retention. Identify risks early, address concerns, and lead renewal conversations well ahead of contract deadlines. Help partners assess results and navigate budgets, approvals, and contracting.
- Grow existing partnerships. Identify opportunities to expand into additional schools, grade levels, or use cases when they fit a partner’s needs. Own expansion conversations and coordinate with the founder on pricing and important decisions.
- Resolve issues and represent partner needs internally. Answer product and implementation questions, coordinate technical issues with the team, and keep partners informed through resolution. Bring recurring feedback into product decisions and improvements to training.
- Keep account plans and forecasts current. Maintain clear records in our CRM, including stakeholder relationships, implementation progress, risks, renewal dates, and expansion opportunities. Develop reusable resources that make it easier to support partners as Bloomy grows.
What we’re looking for
You have experience helping schools or districts successfully adopt educational products or programs. You can point to results in implementation, ongoing engagement, retention, or account growth, and you’re comfortable taking responsibility for both the partner experience and the commercial relationship.
You should also bring:
- Experience in account management, customer success, or implementation, ideally serving K-12 schools and districts.
- The ability to lead useful, engaging training for educators and adapt your approach to different audiences.
- Confidence building relationships with teachers, principals, curriculum and instruction leaders, and district administrators.
- Experience leading renewal or expansion conversations and connecting a partner’s results to a clear case for continued investment.
- Comfort interpreting usage and progress data, identifying problems, and turning what you learn into practical recommendations.
- Strong organization and follow-through across multiple accounts, projects, and deadlines.
- Clear communication, sound judgment, and the ability to coordinate issues across customers and internal teams.
- A proactive approach to partner support. You notice when an account needs attention and take action before a problem becomes a renewal risk.
Experience supporting instructional software, assessments, intervention tools, or AI products is especially relevant. Classroom experience and experience at an early-stage company are also advantages.
Location and travel
Location is flexible. Expect approximately 30–50% travel for school and district visits, implementation launches, educator training, and partner reviews. Travel will vary with partner needs and the school calendar.
Compensation
$130,000–$150,000 in annual on-target earnings ($105,000–$115,000 base salary + $25,000–$35,000 target performance bonus), plus equity.
OTE reflects earnings at full achievement of defined performance targets, primarily tied to retention, renewals, and expansion. Business travel expenses are reimbursed.
