Job Description
About Base
Base is America’s next-generation power company. We’re rebuilding the foundation of modern civilization–electricity–by deploying a vast network of distributed batteries that is transforming today’s fragile, centralized grid into a resilient and abundant system. We are engineers, operators, and creatives solving some of the most complex, interdisciplinary challenges of our time.
About the Role
We're hiring a Growth Generalist who wants to do their best work at a company building something that matters. This isn't a traditional marketing role — it's a seat for someone who thinks in channels, experiments, and outcomes, and doesn't need a title to tell them where to play. You'll help millions of people discover a better way to power their homes, at a moment when reliability, cost, and the grid are top of mind. You'll work across every surface of the growth motion and own the results end to end.
What You'll Do
Own customer acquisition targets with clear accountability across a channel that you own
Design and run structured growth experiments across the funnel to unlock step-change improvements.
Translate performance data into decisions: what to double down on, what to fix, and what to shut down.
Operate a high-velocity creative engine, working closely with design to develop, test, and scale winning creative.
What You'll Bring
Hands-on growth experience with direct ownership of channels in a consumer or consumer-adjacent business.
Time spent in early-stage or unstructured environments, and comfort with the ambiguity that comes with it.
Equal comfort in a dashboard, a creative brief, and a cross-functional standup.
A bias to move fast and start before you're told to.
A pull toward action over analysis, and a defined scope you build yourself rather than wait for.
About the Team
The Growth team sets the pace for how fast Base can deliver affordable, reliable power to the people who need it. We operate as one team across marketing, sales, support, product, and design — lean and high-ownership. Everything we build is measured against one bar: the fastest-growing, most beloved energy company in the world.
Please note: Base is a startup, which means priorities shift and evolve quickly. Your role may expand or change based on the needs of the business at any given time, so the responsibilities listed may not be exhaustive.
Our Values
First Principles Thinking: Question assumptions. Principles > rules.
Operate at Base Pace: Focus on what matters, act quickly, and learn by doing.
Give & Get Feedback: Be direct, be humble, and maintain a growth mindset.
Everyone’s an Owner: Follow through on commitments and own results.
Strong Opinions, Loosely Held: Drive clarity and make calls with imperfect information.
Committed to the Mission: Rebuilding the grid is a big challenge. We work hard because we care deeply about the impact we’re creating. We work in-person. It’s not a 9-to-5. We are all-in.
Fun & Optimism Coexist with Grit: Collaboration and celebration coincide with the intensity of building real things.
Do the best work of your life at Base.
