About the Role:

We’re building a Finance function that can scale with a fast-growing company, and we’re looking for a Financial Analyst who wants to help build it with us. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on accounts payable, expense coding, payment operations, and financial reporting. You’ll help make sure invoices are coded correctly, vendors are paid on time, payment information is accurate, and the Finance team has clear visibility into upcoming cash requirements and company spending.

You’ll also help us move away from manual processes wherever possible—using technology, automation, and better workflows to make Finance easier for everyone across the company.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the AP workflow. Manage invoices from intake through approval and payment, making sure everything is accurate, properly documented, and moving on schedule.

  • Keep our financial data clean. Code expenses across the right GL accounts, departments, cost centers, projects, and reporting categories so our financial reporting is reliable.

  • Run payment cycles. Prepare payment batches and clear, concise payment reports for Finance leadership, highlighting upcoming obligations, exceptions, and anything requiring attention.

  • Stay ahead of what we owe. Maintain AP aging and vendor schedules and help Finance understand upcoming cash requirements.

  • Solve problems before they become problems. Investigate duplicate invoices, missing approvals, incorrect coding, vendor discrepancies, and payment issues—and own them through resolution.

  • Partner across the company. Work with teams across the business to make invoice approvals, expense coding, and purchasing processes easier and more efficient.

  • Support the close. Help with month-end AP reconciliations, accruals, expense analysis, and supporting schedules.

  • Turn transactions into insights. Prepare reporting around company spending, vendors, payments, outstanding liabilities, and expense trends.

  • Automate the boring stuff. Identify repetitive manual work and help implement better workflows, integrations, and automation.

  • Grow beyond AP. As you develop, take on projects across cash forecasting, budgeting, reporting, financial analysis, and finance systems.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 0–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related analytical role.

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.

  • A solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, including AP, GL coding and reconciliations.

  • Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills, plus confidence working with financial data.

  • Exceptional attention to detail—you notice when something doesn’t look right and investigate why.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

  • Clear communication skills and confidence working with people across different teams.

  • A high degree of ownership. If something lands with you, you see it through.

  • Curiosity about systems, automation, and how technology can make Finance better.

  • Comfort operating in an environment where processes are still evolving.

Compensation:

The anticipated annual base salary range for this role is between $65,000-$80,000. When determining compensation, a number of factors will be considered, including skills, experience, job scope, location, and competitive compensation market data.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary and generous company equity

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance – 99.99% of premiums covered by Cantina

  • 42 days of paid time off, including:

    • 15 PTO days

    • 10 sick days

    • 15 company holidays

    • 2 floating holidays

  • Generous parental leave & fertility support

  • 401(k) retirement savings plan

  • Lifestyle spending account – $500/month to use however you’d like
