Job Description
Job Title: Scrum Master – Software
Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master – Software to facilitate Agile software development and help engineering teams deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions. This role serves as a servant leader, Agile coach, and delivery facilitator for one or more cross-functional software development teams. Working closely with Software Engineers, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Solution Architects, Product Owners, and Engineering Managers, the Software Scrum Master ensures the successful execution of Agile ceremonies, removes delivery impediments, improves team performance, and promotes continuous improvement throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Roles & responsibility:
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
- Coach teams on Scrum, Agile, and Lean practices.
- Partner with Product Owners to manage backlogs, priorities, and sprint goals.
- Track delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and impediments.
- Coordinate with Engineering, QA, DevOps, Product, and Architecture teams.
- Support release planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor Agile metrics and improve team productivity and delivery predictability.
- Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience serving as a Scrum Master supporting software development teams.
- Experience delivering enterprise software, SaaS platforms, cloud-native applications, or digital products.
- Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
- Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies for cross-functional engineering teams.
- Excellent leadership, facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Experience working in fast-paced Agile software environments.
- Willing to work in 24/7 environment
Preferred experience
- CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or similar certification.
- Experience with cloud/software development environments.
- Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Git, CI/CD, and cloud platforms.
- Experience working with multiple Agile teams or enterprise applications.
