Sphere is an AI-powered cross-border tax compliance platform. We help companies like Eleven Labs, Replit and Windsurf automate their sales tax, VAT, GST compliance obligations.
What makes us different to other vendors on the market is:
- we have spent the last 1.5 years building local rails into tax authorities in both the US and internationally to properly automate compliance processes (no other vendor has done this), and
- we're building the world's first AI-native tax engine (which will be the foundation for a broader cross border compliance platform; think Deel for international billing).
Tech Stack
Web app - a Django/Python backend and a Nextjs/React front end powers a modern web based platform that offers functionality to 1. monitor indirect tax exposure, 2. register with tax authorities, 3. calculate / collect the correct sales tax within customer billing systems and 4. file / remit the correct indirect tax returns to relevant tax authorities.
Tax-focused LLMs - we leverage new scraping tech and LLMs to collect, monitor and process tax rate and tax legislation data across the world. This feeds into our web app / customers systems via API.
