Crouton is software that helps companies keep track of their people and how they are deployed.

Our customers use it to see who works on which teams, how people are staffed across projects, and how plans change over time. Instead of digging through spreadsheets or asking around, the answers are simply there.

It becomes the place where operations, finance, and team leads can all see the same picture of how the organization is actually running.

The vision

We think every company should be able to understand its own organization as clearly as it understands its financials. When that happens, they can use their most valuable resource, their people, with more intention and without sacrificing clarity.

Over time, Crouton becomes the place where companies plan teams, request new roles, and explore different ways of staffing the future. It starts with visibility. It grows into a control center for how work gets organized.

The tech

We work on interesting technical problems like:

• modeling organizations and teams that change constantly
• integrating HR, ticket, and CRM systems onto a clean object layer
• building fast, flexible queries over messy people and staffing data
• creating simple visualizations that make complex org structures easy to understand

Our software stack is TypeScript, React, Postgres, and AWS.

Our development toolkit includes Cursor, Claude Code, and other modern AI tools that help us move quickly and stay focused on the product.
