Job Description
As the Logistics Technical Lead positioned at a critical point within the end‑to‑end logistics process, you are responsible for maintaining a comprehensive overview of the entire logistics flow. You ensure that all activities are aligned with ASML Logistics Level 3 governance, while actively driving the introduction of new processes and the continuous improvement of existing processes. This role requires the ability to translate improvement opportunities into clear action plans, implementation roadmaps, and timelines. Successful execution of this role depends on strong cross‑functional collaboration, structured problem solving, and solid project management capabilities.
As a Logistics Tech Lead within the logistics team, you are responsible for:
1. Internal Factory Processes & Governance
- Understand ISO standards and apply them effectively during process improvement initiatives, and apply ASML logistics‑related L3 processes, ensuring compliance with governance and control requirements.
- Understand ASML logistics‑related L4 operational procedures, including correct process sequencing and dependencies.
- Creating, completing, updating the quality documents (process descriptions, work flows & instructions, one-point-lessons), including comprehension of the logical flow behind L5 Work Instructions (WI) and ensuring proper execution aligned with process intent.
- Be familiar with customs systems and AEO regulations, ensuring compliance in logistics operations.
- Perform regular gemba walks to verify correct process execution and proactively identify improvement opportunities.
2. External Information & Stakeholder Management
- Identify and engage the appropriate focal points to obtain required information outside the factory scope.
- Consolidate data and present project status, progress, risks, and challenges in a structured manner.
- Proactively communicate with and build strong working relationships with international stakeholders.
- Effectively prioritize topics and challenges based on impact, urgency, and feasibility.
3. Project management capabilities, and cross‑functional collaboration & facilitation
- Effectively coordinate and communicate across functions to ensure smooth execution of logistics‑related projects.
- Act as a facilitator, you guide and/or connect stakeholders to clearly articulate issues, align on problem statements, and jointly identify feasible and compliant solutions.
- Ensure transparency, alignment, and timely decision‑making among all involved stakeholders.
- Performance management systems, including target setting, meeting structures and reporting.
- Conduct trainings of logistics-related domain knowledge.
- Defining and driving the structural improvement program.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with project team members and stakeholders; assign tasks and define timelines.
- Developing and supplying analyses, knowledge and expertise on the department’s logistics and planning processes, and their implementation in SAP and other IT tools.
- Develop and maintain project plans and schedules, including identification of the critical path.
- Track project progress and follow up on action status to ensure on‑time delivery.
- Work closely with LSME to identify and drive process improvement opportunities.
- Build business cases using appropriate project management tools to support decision‑making.
Education:
Master or Bachelor’s degree of Industry Engineering/Management, Logistics, Engineering or related background.
Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience in operational logistics & material flow engineering, preferably in a high-tech, low-volume assembly environment.
- Hands-on experience with continuous improvement based on lean and/or six sigma methodologies and effective change management.
- Substantial and in-depth experience with ERP systems, their set-up and applications, preferably SAP ECC/EWM.
- Factory-level project management or above.
- Experience of Hoshin Kanri and KPI from end to end.
- 3+ years’ experience as a people leader is preferred.
- Lean and/or Six Sigma Green Belt certification or above is a big plus.
- Practical experience of Smart Logistics (Automation, Simulation, IoT, AGV, RFID, Cobot, AOI, etc.) is preferred.
