
Industrial Engineering & Management internship: efficiency measurement model
Job Description
Introduction
The Electronic Development (EDEV) department designs the electronics that power our leading-edge lithography systems. The team drives continuous improvement to support fast delivery and high-quality development. This internship helps the department measure efficiency in a consistent and data‑driven way. You will contribute to understanding current performance and identifying future improvement opportunities. This is your chance to work in a dynamic environment where your insights truly matter.
Your assignment
You will implement an efficiency measurement model that supports improvement initiatives across the department. Your work will help teams understand their performance and make better decisions. You will combine data analysis with process thinking to build a framework that is both practical and sustainable. Your main responsibilities will be:
Creating a repeatable measurement framework for efficiency tracking
Collecting and processing data in a clear and structured way
Analyzing historical project information to define current performance levels
Monitoring ongoing projects using well‑defined indicators
Reporting on results and identifying trends or improvement opportunities
Presenting insights to team members in a simple and clear format
Advising on how teams can use the model for long‑term learning
This is an HBO bachelor thesis internship for 4-6 months, minimum 4 days per week (2 days on‑site). The start date of this internship is as of September 2026. Earlier start is possible.
Your profile
To be suitable for the internship, you:
Are pursuing an HBO bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and management or a related field
Have an interest in process optimization, performance measurement, and operational excellence
Are analytical and enjoy working with structured and unstructured data
Are proactive and comfortable taking ownership of your work
Are collaborative and enjoy working in a team‑oriented environment
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
