As part of our VTS business, our PRV team is primarily focused on the design, manufacture, delivery and support of protected mobility vehicles on a global scale. Your Role
The Technical Officer role exists within Protected Vehicles’ Technical Support Group (TSG), providing essential support and services across both the Bendigo and Eagle Farm sites. Operating at the intersection of multiple departments, the Technical Officer is instrumental in ensuring the effective management and resolution of technical events.
Technical events, including engineering changes, obsolescence challenges, customer requests, and warranty issues, are resolved efficiently and accurately to uphold operational continuity
Work packages addressing technical issues are planned, prepared, and delivered in line with organisational requirements
Accurate and up-to-date records of technical issues and their resolution are maintained in line with established processes
Timely, clear, and constructive updates are provided to both internal and external stakeholders regarding technical event progress
Proactive identification and communication of potential risks related to product change and obsolescence, ensuring effective and early mitigation
Strong relationships with both internal and external customers are developed and maintained, ensuring quality support and high levels of satisfaction
Your Experience
To be successful in this role, you will bring the relevant skills, experience and a proactive approach, along with the ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team.
Demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance, and a quality mindset
Ability to manage time, priorities, and adapt effectively in a dynamic environment
Effective communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, educate, and influence stakeholders
Experience with issue management systems (e.g., Jira), document management, and workflow tools
Eligibility for Defence Security Clearance and ability to obtain ITAR clearance.
Working knowledge of Defence industry processes is advantageous
Relevant technical or trade qualification (e.g., electronics, mechanical, or equivalent experience)
