Job Description
Position Title: Project Manager
Location: Working Place is Koropi / Attika region.
Reporting to: Projects & Services Director.
About Thales Hellas
Thales Hellas is located in Koropi, close to Athens and the international airport. The team is approximately 40 plus people strong, an consists of a commercial pillar and an operations pillar. Together, we address the civil aviation, defense, cyber security and space market in Greece and Cyprus by submitting offers, capturing opportunities, executing projects and delivering through life support. To that end, the team closely cooperates with a wide variety of stakeholders within the Thales Group and within the local Greek ecosystem.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Main purpose: To oversee planning, execution and delivery of complex projects within Thales Hellas. To lead cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time within budget and meet quality standards, while aligned with company’s strategic objectives.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
◼ Responsible for the good operation of the project in terms of performances, cost and delivery schedule.
◼ Define project scope, objectives and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
◼ Develop project plans, schedules and resource allocations.
◼ Lead cross-functional project teams to achieve project goals.
◼ Monitor project performance and manage project risks.
◼ Responsible for the launch (kick off) of the project within operations.
◼ Coordinate with internal departments, customers and suppliers to ensure project execution.
◼ Report project status to senior management.
◼ Ensure compliance with Thales and Thales Hellas policies, quality standards and regulatory requirements.
◼ Conduct post-project evaluation and document Lessons Learned.
◼ Customer Satisfaction.
EXPERIENCE:
◼ 5+ years of relevant experience in program management, preferably in defense, construction or other technology sectors. Experience in Civil Aviation related projects will be preferred.
EDUCATION/SKILLS:
◼ University Degree in Mechanical/Electronic engineering, or Business Administration. M.Sc. or MBA degree would be an asset
◼ Project Management Certification (IPMA or PMI) preferred
◼ Relevant professional training
◼ Very good command of the English language & Greek speaker
PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES:
◼ Very good knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
◼ Assertive negotiation skills
◼ Knowledge of principles and processes involved in business and organizational planning co-ordination and execution. This includes planning, resource allocation, manpower modelling, production methods and multi-country projects.
◼ Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
