The Infrastructure Decommissioning Engineer will be responsible for supporting the retirement and shutdown of technical components within a decommissioning project.
The role focuses on analyzing existing system and network dependencies, securing the deactivation of services, and ensuring the proper closure of technical flows and configurations.
The engineer will work closely with a France-based architect who will guide technical decisions and maintain architecture design documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Handle decommissioning requests related to system, infrastructure, and authentication components.
- Analyze existing environments to identify technical dependencies prior to shutdown activities.
- Support the secure deactivation of authentication services for external users.
- Perform shutdown and retirement of technical components in line with defined procedures.
- Ensure the closure of network flows and removal of obsolete configurations (firewalls, routing, security rules).
- Contribute to the update of architecture and technical documentation throughout the project.
- Collaborate closely with the RUN teams and the architect to ensure controlled and secure decommissioning.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory and its integration with NetScaler (VPX).
- Experience with authentication services, databases, and related infrastructure components.
- Solid understanding of network environments, including firewalls, routing, and security rules.
- Ability to analyze complex technical environments and identify dependencies.
- Experience in system and infrastructure administration within enterprise environments.
- Good knowledge of Citrix environments (farms, workers, associated components).
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in system and infrastructure administration.
- Experience in decommissioning, retirement, or shutdown projects is highly valued.
- Experience in managed services or RUN environments is a plus.
