Why this role matters:

As a AIT Engineer - SAR, you’ll help bring ICEYE’s next generation SAR satellites into production. You will play a critical role in assembling, integrating, and testing satellites while ensuring designs transition smoothly into reliable, repeatable manufacturing. Your work directly supports ICEYE’s ability to scale its satellite constellation and deliver timely Earth observation data that strengthens global security, disaster response, and maritime awareness.

Your day-to-day responsibilities

• Execute hands-on satellite assembly, integration, and testing (AIT) activities for production satellites
• Act as a technical point of contact for subsystem integration, ensuring manufacturability, testability, and configuration consistency across builds
• Perform system-level verification and validation including functional, environmental, and EMC testing
• Troubleshoot integration issues and collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve anomalies and maintain build schedules

Requirements

What we’re looking for

Must haves:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in satellite development, integration, testing, or production environments
• Strong multidisciplinary engineering background with deep expertise in at least one domain such as mechanical, electronics, RF, or software
• System-level understanding of complex hardware systems or satellite architectures
• Experience supporting integration, verification, production ramp-up, and configuration management in high reliability hardware environments

Nice to haves:

• Experience in space industry AIT environments including satellite integration or spacecraft testing
• Background enabling design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for testability (DFT)
• Experience troubleshooting integration issues and performing root cause analysis in complex systems
