About the Role
Super Technologies (“Super”) is one of Europe’s fastest-growing technology companies, operating at the intersection of technology, digital entertainment and regulated markets. As the company continues to expand across Europe, it is establishing a permanent presence in Brussels to strengthen its engagement with European institutions, policymakers, industry associations and strategic partners. Operating in one of Europe’s most dynamic and highly regulated sectors, Super sees constructive and transparent engagement with policymakers as a strategic business capability, enabling sustainable growth, innovation and consumer protection.
The Director, EU Affairs will lead this effort — building Super’s European Affairs function from the ground up and establishing the company as a respected and credible participant within the European policy ecosystem. Europe is the center of policy and regulatory decisions that will shape the future of digital industries. Super believes that constructive engagement with policymakers, regulators and industry stakeholders is essential to building sustainable, well-regulated markets. The Director will anticipate emerging regulatory developments, translate political context into business implications and help shape the company’s long-term regulatory strategy across Europe.
Based in Brussels, the successful candidate will lead the company’s European engagement strategy, develop trusted institutional relationships and help shape Super’s long-term presence across European policy and industry networks. Success in this role will be measured by the quality of regulatory outcomes, strength of institutional relationships, business impact and Super’s reputation as a preferred and trusted partner within the European policy ecosystem.
What the Role Involves
Build Super’s European Presence
• Lead the establishment and development of Super’s Brussels office as the company’s European Affairs hub.
• Develop and own the long-term strategy for engagement with European institutions, policymakers and strategic stakeholders.
• Lead horizon scanning and proactively identify emerging legislative and regulatory developments affecting Super’s business.
• Coordinate executive stakeholder engagement in Brussels with relevant European capitals/markets.
Government & Institutional Relations
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders across European institutions — including the European Commission, European Parliament, Council of the EU, European Council, Permanent Representations, industry associations, think tanks, policy organisations and strategic partners.
• Represent Super in meetings, consultations, conferences and policy discussions.
• Develop an annual stakeholder engagement programme, including executive visits, policy forums, conferences and flagship events.
Public Policy & Industry Engagement
• Monitor and assess political and regulatory developments affecting the business, with a particular focus on digital regulation (DSA, DMA, AI Act and equivalent frameworks).
• Support the development and lead the execution of Super’s positions on European policy issues.
• Coordinate Super’s participation in industry associations, including EGBA and IBIA, and identify opportunities to strengthen Super’s advocacy efforts.
• Promote evidence-based regulation supporting consumer protection, innovation and market integrity.
Leadership Support & Cross-functional Coordination
• Translate complex EU political and regulatory developments and provide strategic advice to senior leadership on emerging European political and regulatory developments.
• Prepare high-quality executive briefings, talking points and background notes for high- level meetings with policymakers and industry leaders.
• Work closely with Corporate Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, Global Risk & Market Integrity and Communications to ensure consistent and coordinated external engagement.
• Lead and coordinate external advisers where appropriate.
What We’re Looking For
An experienced European Affairs Leader with an established network across the Brussels policy ecosystem and a proven track record of building trusted relationships at senior levels. Candidates are likely to come from European institutions, multinational companies, public affairs consultancies, trade associations or regulated industries.
• 10+ years in European Affairs, Government Affairs, Public Policy or Institutional Relations, preferably within highly regulated industry.
• Strong and deep understanding of EU decision-making and policy processes.
• Experience engaging with senior policymakers and industry leaders.
• Proven ability to own and deliver outcomes in complex environments — not just coordinate processes.
