Data Science | Industrial Engineering internship: supplier performance dashboards

Introduction

The ER&D Procurement organization at ASML works at the intersection of technology development and strategic supplier collaboration. The team supports high-tech innovation by strengthening supplier performance, transparency, and continuous improvement across the value chain. This internship focuses on improving how supplier performance data is collected, connected, and visualized for internal decision-making. You will help transform subjective and quantitative inputs into reliable dashboards that support feedback and collaboration with suppliers. The role offers hands-on impact in a complex, real-world environment.
 

Your assignment

During this internship, you will work closely with an experienced mentor to design and improve supplier performance dashboards. The assignment focuses on connecting data sources, creating data pipelines, and translating stakeholder needs into clear insights. You will collaborate with colleagues across various departments in a challenging and evolving environment. Your main responsibilities will be:

• Design and improve dashboards that visualize supplier performance using qualitative and quantitative data

• Develop and improve data pipelines that connect survey-based and system-based data sources

• Translate business requirements into clear data models and reporting structures

• Collaborate with stakeholders from different departments to align expectations and priorities

• Analyze data quality and validate outputs to ensure reliable insights

• Document data flows, dashboard logic, and user guidelines in a structured manner

This is a bachelor or master internship with a minimum duration of 6 months. The internship is fulltime (5 days per week, with 2–3 days on-site in Veldhoven). Flexibility for academic obligations is offered, and thesis students are welcomed. The start date of this internship is projected at the end August 2026.

Your profile

To be suitable for the internship, you:

• Are enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, computer science, business analytics, industrial engineering or a related field

• Have experience with data pipelines, data preparation, and dashboard development (PowerBI)

• Are analytical and critical, and enjoy solving complex and open-ended problems

• Are collaborative and proactive, and can work with multiple stakeholders

• Are able to communicate clearly and professionally in English

Other requirements you need to meet:

• You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;

• Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;

• You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.

• If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
