Founding DevOps Engineer - Core Trading Platform

We are looking for Founding DevOps Engineer for our Core Trading Platform at AlgoTest(S22). We are a dynamic and fast-growing startup that is revolutionising the trading industry by developing an innovative platform specifically designed for retail traders and investors. Our goal is to empower individuals with the tools and knowledge to make informed trading decisions, ultimately levelling the playing field for retail traders in the financial markets. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated platform engineer who can join our core team immediately and help shape our infrastructure.

**Position Overview:**
As an experienced DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the orchestration, networking, and maintenance of our trading infrastructure. You will work closely with the founders, and other engineers to provide a scalable and user-friendly platform that meets the unique needs of retail consumers.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and deploy the core infrastructure of our platform, ensuring its scalability, reliability, and security.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient CI/CD pipeline as well as IaC modules(With Terraform).
• Collaborate closely with the team to define the technical roadmap and contribute to strategic decision-making processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
• Proven experience (2+ years) as a DevOps/Platform engineer, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong proficiency in orchestration and networking, with expertise in automation servers(CI/CD) and IaC frameworks, in a cloud agnostic manner.
• Experience in implementing automation pipeline and maintaining multiple environments
• A self-driven and entrepreneurial mindset, with a willingness to take ownership and drive projects to successful completion.

Prior adventures/experience in the trading or financial industry, including knowledge of trading systems, market data, or algorithmic trading would be preferred.

Interview Process

After resume screening, we’ll get on an introductory call and discuss basics of deployments and networking. We’ll also go through your resume and ask a couple of technical questions. Post that we’ll share a small assignment.

Second round We'll get on a call to dive a bit deeper into your solution for the problem we shared in the first round. We'll discuss your approach to planning out the pipeline.
