Introduction to the job
As a NIS2 Expert, you help protect the digital backbone that supports the world’s most advanced semiconductor technology. In this role, your work directly contributes to ASML’s ability to design, manufacture, and deliver cutting-edge lithography systems safely and reliably.
You join ASML Business Services in Veldhoven, where you support critical IT services used across the company. By translating NIS2 cybersecurity requirements into practical solutions, you strengthen resilience, reduce risk, and help ASML operate securely in a complex global environment. As a NIS2 Expert, you work at the intersection of regulation, technology, and daily operations, ensuring security is embedded by design.
Role and responsibilities
In this NIS2 Expert role, you operate within ABS IT Operations, focusing on cloud collaboration, communication, device management, and secure data storage platforms. You balance hands-on execution with collaboration, helping teams turn regulatory requirements into workable, sustainable controls.
You will:
- Translate NIS2 cybersecurity requirements into actionable technical and operational controls.
- Implement and maintain risk management measures for cloud and workplace services.
- Support incident detection, response preparedness, and regulatory reporting processes.
- Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery readiness for critical IT services.
- Prepare and maintain security documentation, evidence, and audit materials.
- Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to embed security into daily operations.
- Drive continuous improvement of cybersecurity maturity within ABS IT Operations.
Education and experience
To succeed as a NIS2 Expert, you bring solid experience in IT security and operational environments.
You have:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in IT security, IT operations, or risk management.
- Hands-on experience implementing security controls in enterprise environments.
- Working knowledge of incident response, vulnerability management, and logging.
- Experience with cloud productivity or collaboration platforms and mobile device management.
- Familiarity with regulatory or compliance frameworks such as NIS2, ISO standards, or similar.

You report into ABS IT Operations and work primarily from Veldhoven, the Netherlands.
