We are looking for a Flight Test Maintenance Sr. Supervisor to join our team. The goal of a Flight Test Maintenance Sr. Supervisor at Wisk is to ensure that (insert desired outcomes here). You will be part of the Flight Test and Operations team that is responsible for conducting flight testing of Wisk designed aircraft as well as surrogate flight test vehicles.
In this role you will be a part of the future of aviation. Wisk is developing aircraft that will define the future standard of air transport and you will directly support and guide the flight test activities that achieve that future. The Flight Test Maintenance Sr. Supervisor is a crucial part of the Flight Test and Operations team that is best filled by an individual who excels at getting ahead of problems. This role is responsible for the safe maintenance and operational release of the aircraft for flight testing, ensuring all maintenance work is completed and the aircraft is ready to support the test program. The Flight Test Maintenance Sr Supervisor is someone who leads with courage and acts strategically to support the Flight Test team in achieving the company goals.
Responsibilities
As part of the Flight Test and Operations team, and deployed in an Operations Support Team, you will be the Flight Test Maintenance Sr. Supervisor for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
You will oversee Wisk’s team of Aviation Maintenance Technicians. You will manage day-to-day hangar operations and ensure safe, efficient, and effective execution of all aircraft maintenance and flight test support activities.
You will coordinate aircraft logistics, including ensuring scheduling and execution of all required maintenance to maintain airworthiness of the fleet.
You will help support problem solving activities in conjunction with the test pilot and flight test engineering teams. Examples include staffing daily operations, process improvement, and budget planning and tracking.
You will plan and execute the growth of the maintenance team to meet the needs of the company as it transitions from developmental flight testing to certification flight testing and increases both the number of aircraft and the flight operations per week.
Requirements
FAA Airframe and Powerplant licences with a minimum of 8 years in the aerospace industry
You have experience with various work-streams of aviation maintenance that would include process writing and enforcement, document creation, troubleshooting, maintenance forecasting, as well as flight line duties
You have hands-on experience leading a maintenance team, organizing and enforcing safety and process standards of the hangar operations.
You have a strong understanding of the operational elements required to support successful flight test programs and maintain experimental aircraft, including the development and implementation of ground support equipment, use of both custom-designed and off-the-shelf solutions, and the ability to solve technical challenges in a fast-paced test environment. This experience ranges from hands-on troubleshooting to contributing to technical proposals and operational planning.
You have a deep and applied knowledge of what it takes to organize a hangar, lead a team of mechanics and be a part of decision making required to inform the program schedule of the flight test team.

Familiarity with applying for and receiving special airworthiness certificates from the FAA and maintaining experimental aircraft
A "self-starter" who can manage their tasks with minimal supervision and who is proactive in identifying issues and taking the initiative to solve them
Be flexible and adaptable: Comfortable with managing a dynamic schedule, challenges, and willing to learn new systems and technologies
Familiar with completing detailed work orders, logbook entries, and other regulatory paperwork accurately with a knowledge of FAA regulations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay range the company expects to pay: $127,000 - $191,000 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
