The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the lead supply technician responsible for administrative, financial, and technical aspects of the Individual Protective Equipment (IPE) Element.
Duties
- Leads three or more supply technicians and material handlers with the IPE Element.
- Determines stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized IPE supply items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs, and projected depletion.
- Responsible for inventory control of all weapons, munitions, and equipment.
- Performs a broad range of storage assignments.
- Performs a broad range of standard weapons receiving and storage assignments.
- Performs administrative office support functions and maintains cooperative working relationships with team members, related functions, and operating officials.

Conditions of Employment Continued:

Work requires light to moderate physical The work will on a regular or recurring basis involve exposure to high levels high noise, to extreme temperatures, humidity, dust, fumes, solvents & ammunition & long duration of standing & walking. The employee will be required to lift items that may be in excess 50 lbs. such as weapons, ammunition, IBAs & mobility bags.
The work requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license is required for the position.
Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 15 days per year.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, Team Lead Supply Technician, Series 2005.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of general experience at the next lower broadband NJ-II, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include knowledge of supply functions, operations, regulations, policies, procedures, techniques, and methods; and policies and procedures for requisitioning and issuing supplies, to include knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in an automated supply system. Knowledge of governing weapon/security regulations, procedures, and instructions. Knowledge of applicable safety regulations, standards, practices, and procedures, to include ground weapons requirements. Knowledge of AFMAN 23-110, MICAS, Mobility Bags, weapons issuing, and storage requirements is highly desired.

EDUCATION: Successfully completed four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts with your application.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
