The primary purpose of this position is serve as a Supply Management Specialist in the Customer Support Liaison Element. Serve as the primary point of contact for all supply customer requests, and concerns with supply related questions and queries.
Duties
Salary Range: This is an NH-02 position with full salary potential within that band, however the initial salary range offered for this position will be $34,799 to $82,938 which includes locality pay percentage, unless statutory or regulatory rules prevail. Follow on salary increases based on contribution MAY be earned within the full salary of the NH-02 pay band.
- Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short/long-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
- Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Customer Support Liaison Element, ensuring that maintenance and supply work comply with legal, regulatory and contractual requirements and meets customer needs.
- Represents Customer Support with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
- Manages the overall maintenance and supply interface, resolves supply support problems, and coordinates supply related training needs for decentralized supply support personnel.
- Responsible for MICAP, Records Maintenance, and Stock Control LRS functions. Oversees monitoring status of MICAP items.
- Prepares recurring and special reports. Complies statistics from data requiring substantial analysis, interpretation, and development of new formats.

- This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program.
- Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions present a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
- It is required that you (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and (b) if requested, submit to urinalysis testing.
- May be required to complete Nuclear War Reserve Material (NWRM) Fundamental training course annually or as required.
- Required to complete Management of Control Materiel training semi-annually.
- Position requires access to firearms. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence may not occupy this position in accordance with the Gun Control Act of 1968, as amended 30 Sep 96.
- Employee must sign DD Form 2760, Qualification to Possess Firearms or Ammunition.
Conditions of Employment Continued:
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sept 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.
- This is a Supervisory Position. A 1-year supervisory probationary period is required if applicant selected has not previously met this requirement.
In order to qualify, you must meet the general experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions for Supply Program Management Series, 2003.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have three years of progressively responsible general experience, one year of experience which is equivalent to at least a pay band NH-01, (GS-04), and at a level close to the work of this position that has given me the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform. Typically, we would find this experience in work within this field that is closely related. To be creditable, at least one year of the general experience must have been equivalent to the next lower pay band (NH-01) grade level (GS-04) or equivalent. General Experience is described as knowledge of general federal acquisition programs, supply regulations, instructions, techniques, and methods to include requisitioning, stock control, equipment management, records management, inventory management, demand processing, document control, and customer service. Skill in use of technical orders, stock lists, cataloging data systems, federal and military supply standards and specifications. Knowledge of policies and procedures for requisitioning and issuing equipment, supplies, packing, cleaning, preservation, containers, environmental controls, marking and labeling, and knowledge of warehousing and disposal procedures and plans. Knowledge of supply structure, supply codes, and organizational interfaces both internal and external, and the ability to update procedures and use automated supply systems and data bases. Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools and techniques to support office operation to produce a variety of documents, such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of official transcripts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
- Knowledge of general federal acquisition programs, supply regulations, instructions, techniques, and methods to include requisitioning, stock control, equipment management, records management, inventory management, demand processing, document control, and customer service. - Ability to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material, such as supply regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, orders, etc., to accomplish tasks and resolve complex supply problems. Ability to apply basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve complex supply problems and/or deviate from normal supply management procedures or program requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to supervise employees using knowledge of personnel management regulations and procedures required to hire, train, and appraise employees, and skill to teach marketing techniques to employees.
