As part of our VTS business, our PRV team is primarily focused on the design, manufacture, delivery and support of protected mobility vehicles on a global scale. YOUR ROLE:
Come join our growing engineering delivery team as a Work Package Manager based in our Melbourne (WTC) office. The Work Package Manager (WPM) is responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of defined work package(s) within a larger project or program. The WPM ensures that work is completed according to scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements, and acts as the primary interface between the work package team and the overall project management team.
Working at our Melbourne office, on Wurundjeri Land, some of your roles and responsibilities include:
Coordinate end-to-end planning and delivery of engineering and technical projects on time, within scope, budget, and quality expectations.
Effectively coordinate across cross-functional teams to manage dependencies, priorities, and delivery commitments.
Proactively identify and mitigate project technical risks, issues, and constraints.
Monitor project progress against scope, timeline, budget, and quality targets, and take corrective actions where needed.
Identify, assess, and manage project technical risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies to minimize delivery impact.
Manage change requests and scope adjustments through structured impact assessment and stakeholder approval
Build high stakeholder confidence through transparent communication, timely reporting, and predictable execution.
Ensure efficient resource utilization and support for team productivity and delivery excellence in a matrix organization
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Minimum 5 years’ engineering experience, with at least one year in engineering technical delivery or Work Package Management.
Knowledge of engineering and technical delivery environments, including cross-functional coordination across engineering, product, operations, and business teams.
Understanding of planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, risk and issue management, dependency management, and change control.
Sufficient technical awareness to engage credibly with engineering teams, understand delivery impacts, and support informed decision-making.
Experience delivering engineering or technical projects in a complex, matrix, or cross-functional environment.
Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM).
Previous experience in delivering ASDEFCON projects is highly desirable.
