The Systems Engineer will define, integrate, and verify complex system requirements and architectures so that Thales can deliver complete, integrated solutions that meet customer needs.

KEY OUTCOMES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Systems Engineer, you are responsible for:
- Completing assigned tasks in projects, bids and R&D programs
- The conduct of requirements analysis based upon the user/customer requirements and capabilities of the core technology components.
- The analysis of alternatives and development of functional and physical solutions, including test or demonstration cases.
- Decomposition of selected architecture into sub-systems and/or elements.
- Implementation and verification of solutions.
- Production of engineering reports, specification and design documents.
- Verification of architectures and solutions against established requirements.
- The presentation and demonstration of solutions to customer representatives.
- Effectively planning and executing engineering activities to enable successful completion of those activities.
- Working within integrated product teams to ensure the successful development and implementation of related engineering programs (eg. Installation, EMI/EMC, Safety, Security, Environmental, Production, ILS).
- Keeping abreast of technology developments and providing recommendations and advice on technology selection and R&D activities.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:
- Engineering Degree suitable to achieve membership of Engineers Australia (MIEAust) in relevant Communications, Computing, or Electronics related field.
- Experience working within a Systems Engineering lifecycle.
- Experience with authoring/reviewing technical documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Confluence and JIRA
- Ability to work independently within governance frameworks and to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- The ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders to deliver across a complex, matrix environment.
GOOD TO KNOW
Prior to being offered employment, you will need to complete pre-employment police and (role dependent) medical checks. Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold PV security clearance.
