Simulation Engineer

Specification, design and implementation of System Simulators of complex satellites & Manned Space Systems. The candidate shall operate inside a project team but strongly linked to the Simulation of the Engineering Dpt discipline and interface with the Agencies and external Customers, therefore he shall have peculiar communication skills, pro-active attitude in facing and solving problems and inclination to team working. He has to have a solid cultural base in Simulation & Space systems field such to be able to define and manage in a short time a complex system design.

Key duties:

• Functional Simulation of Space Systems
• Functional Modeling and deployment on Simulation Framework (e.g. ESA Simulus)
• Adoption of ECSS-SMP Modeling standards.
• Organization and follow-on of laboratory activities for systems simulation in running programs
• Definition of specifications for Space SubSytems & Units models and follow-on of the relevant procurement
• Definition of design, development and verification plans for Space System simulators
• Technical management and control of Subcontractors’ activities
• Participation to progress meetings and project reviews preparing the required technical documentation and answer/discussion of customer RIDs

Skills, experience and qualifications required:

• Master degree in Aerospace engineering with knowledge of Space Systems Simulation
• Able to manage multiple tasks at one time
• Organized and methodical with strong communication skills
• High team working capabilities and customer orientation
• Good will in facing and learning new things
• Fluent English (spoken and written)
• Available for business travels in Italy and abroad
• Attitude towards innovation and problem solving
