As a Senior Planner, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Australian Munitions (AM) teams in Benalla and Mulwala by leading the planning and scheduling of critical bids, projects, and programs against the Performance Measurement Baseline.
Your expertise will drive the effective monitoring and control of tasks, deliverables, schedule risks, workload, and costs, ensuring projects stay on track and deliver exceptional results.
Australian Munitions is at the cutting edge of producing propellants, explosives, and munitions for both defence and commercial sectors. Fuelled by continuous investment in research and development, we create some of the world’s most advanced guided weapons and explosive ordnance systems.
Working from our Melbourne Office in the World Trade Centre on Wurundjeri land, your role purpose will be –
Lead planning and scheduling for complex bids and projects using expert Primavera skills against the Performance Measurement Baseline
Oversee tasks, deliverables, risks, workload, and costs to ensure precise project execution
Optimise resource allocation by consolidating workloads across project areas leveraging deep PM knowledge
Conduct advanced Schedule Risk Analysis to identify and mitigate potential risks
Manage claims, extensions, and delay analysis to uphold contract and project integrity
Reconcile estimates with budgets and actuals to ensure financial accuracy
Drive Earned Value Management tracking and variance analysis, collaborating with Cost/Schedule Analysts for system integrity
On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:
Proven expertise in project planning, controls, and management across the full project lifecycle
Mastery of Earned Value Management per AS4817:2006
Must have advanced skills in Primavera, Microsoft Project, and Open Plan
Expert in schedule health checks (DCMA 12-point, Acumen Fuse) and acceleration tools (Acumen 360)
Strong knowledge of PERT, CPM, and Schedule Risk Analysis using Primavera Risk Analyser and Acumen Risk
Skilled in financial control of budgets, control accounts, and work-packages
Excellent communicator, driving stakeholder engagement and team motivation for sustained project success
Degree qualified in a relevant field or equivalent experience

The U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
A Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
