YOUR ROLE
As a Senior Consultant – Advisory, you will deliver complex Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) services across large Government and Commercial projects, playing a key role in enhancing client security posture and maturity. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality advisory outcomes aligned to industry frameworks and standards, while building strong stakeholder relationships across client organisations and within Thales. You will also contribute to broader multi-service engagements by leveraging the full suite of Thales Cyber capabilities.
YOU’LL
- Conduct GRC assessments, risk assessments, and security strategy development
- Support incident response, business continuity, and disaster recovery initiatives
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and remediation activities
- Develop and contribute to security policies, procedures, and documentation
- Deliver clear, high-quality reports for both technical and executive audiences
- Work with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, ASD Essential Eight, and ISM
- Collaborate with IT, risk, and business stakeholders across engagements
- Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and enhance security processes
- Support training delivery and contribute to thought leadership where required
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Approximately 10 years’ experience in cyber security, ICT, or related fields
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, Essential Eight, ISM, PCI, ISA/IEC 62443)
- Experience delivering GRC projects with minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Commercial awareness and ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
- High attention to detail with a proactive and continuous learning mindset
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, ISO27001, PCI-DSS, etc.) or working towards them
- Eligibility to obtain Australian Government security clearance
