Position Summary
We have a current vacancy for a Quality Coordinator to join our team in Burlington, ON.
The Quality Coordinator will be a contact point for production to report any issues that require Quality approval. Using risk analysis they will need to make decisions and perform investigations to define actions and resolve problems.
Work along other departments to ensure Quality is executed with daily production as well projects and change requests. Understanding of the customer’s needs as well as out operation processes will be key to maintaining a high level quality in this role.
Essential Functions
- Ensure quality on customer deliverables in order to prevent sending defective products to customers
- Validate the product per customer specifications and requirements to assure the quality through the effective and diligent process
- Ensure verification of quality checks is carried out diligently throughout the customer change request and testing
- Test or otherwise evaluate the material to the specifications and per the requirements of the application or product
- Prepare reports of non-compliance findings (i.e. not conforming to process or quality standards)
- Assist in investigation/analysis of any quality issue in production and packing
- Understand customer product portfolios our Thales Quality control plan and ensure there is a universal understanding of the critical success factors at the shop floor level.
- Hands-on and “get things done” mindset, proactively aiding others in their roles to get the work done
- Assist in validating and consolidating Root Cause Analysis and action plans associated with internal and external customer complaints
- Provide quality-related recommendations and oversee actions for areas of improvement based on issues and concerns brought forth, while working closely on resolutions with Quality colleagues and other departments
- Support Quality Manager as needed
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in related field or 3+ years’ experience in Card Personalization & Fulfillment Manufacturing
- Computer knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Self-motivation and ability to think well ahead and have good planning, scheduling and organizational skills to maintain internal and external Service Level Agreement (SLA)
- Receptive to changes of policy & procedures
- Aptitude for negotiation and flexibility
- Excellent relational and interpersonal skills in order to communicate clearly and efficiently at all levels within the organization and outside
- Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
- Ability to detect non-conformities and non-compliance before delivery to customer and address them with corrective actions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Must be able to pass full background check consisting of:
- Canadian Credit Inquiry
- Canadian Criminal Record Check
- Education Verification
- 10-Year Employment Verification + Investigative interviews (3x)
- Public Safety Verification
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a multi-team environment.
- At ease with cross-functional projects and willing to assist and work in areas that are not officially / traditionally part of the role / department.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software (Basecamp, MS Project etc.) is a strong advantage
- Experience in building customer relationships and dealing with difficult and demanding clients, internally and externally.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving ability
Special Position Requirements
- Physical Environment: manufacturing/production area, must be able to wear safety shoes.
The anticipated TTC range for this role is 50,346.75 - 67,129.00 - 85,079.00 CAD Annual.
