Your mission as Field CTO:
Your Role: Bridging Customer Success and Technical Authority
The Field CTO is the lead technical voice in Germany, embodying both the Customer Engineering Manager and Technical Design Authority roles. You will be critical in translating strategic customer requirements into secure, high-assurance cloud solutions, bridging the gap between customer needs and Trusted Cloud capabilities.
Technical Design Authority:
Serve as the primary technical design authority for the German market, overseeing the pre-sales phase and ensuring technical responses to customer RFPs are robust and compliant.
Drive high-level technical designs for large and strategic accounts, ensuring alignment with the highest security standards (SecNumCloud and BSI C5/C3A).
Customer Engineering Leadership:
Act as the lead for all customer-facing technical engagements (a hands-on, field role) with a direct impact on overall customer experience.
Manage and lead the team of 5-10 Customer Engineers at target, driving technical pre-sales strategy and execution
Technical Support Leadership:
Act as the lead for the customer technical support team
Manage a team of technical support engineers tackling on a daily basis customers technical requests
Customer Journey Leadership:
Act as the lead for the customer journey onboarding, billing and support tooling
Manage a team of SRE Engineers in charge of billing operations and FinOps
Strategic Reporting: Directly report to both the German Country Manager and the S3NS Customer Engineering & Services Director in France
We are looking forward to:
Technical leadership: 10+ years of senior-level experience in driving technical strategy and design for large enterprise accounts.
Cloud expertise: Senior, hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (IaaS, PaaS, AI).
Technical Account Management: experience driving cloud deals for large accounts and to oversee contract execution in the run phase
Security & compliance: Deep understanding of the high-assurance cloud landscape and security standards (e.g., ANSSI SecNumCloud and/or BSI C5/C3A, NIS).
Customer engagement: Proven pre-sales experience in a Customer Engineering or equivalent client-facing technical role.
Experience managing technical teams (e.g., Customer Engineers).
