Thales in Templecombe is expanding, and we’re looking for hands‑on, motivated individuals to join our manufacturing team within our Towed Array production cell in our Underwater Systems business unit—whether for current opportunities or future openings.

We have multiple vacancies across our manufacturing operations, including but not limited to:
Mechanical or Electrical Technicians - passion for / experience in required
Test Technicians - strong experience/skillset required
Quality Inspectors - strong experience/skillset required
What we are looking for:
We’re seeking motivated individuals who are ready to grow their careers as Manufacturing Technicians. Whether you bring hands‑on experience from a Mechanical or Electrical background, or you’re someone with a genuine passion for practical work and a strong drive to learn, we’d love to hear from you. If you thrive in a hands‑on environment, take pride in accuracy, and are eager to develop your technical skills within a fast‑paced manufacturing setting, this role could be the ideal next step. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are essential.
Full training will be provided for up to 12 weeks.
Current openings:
Test Technicians - Thursday Friday Saturday (days)
Mech/Elect Technicians - Monday Tuesday Wednesday (nights)

Due to the nature of the work that we do at Thales, many of our roles are subject to security restrictions. This role requires you to be a UK National and achieve Security Clearance (SC) without any caveats.
It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment. If approved by the MOD, a dual national from a non-ITAR country may be considered.
To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
