Our Australian Munitions teams in Benalla and Mulwala produce propellants, explosives and munitions for defence and commercial uses.
Supported by ongoing investment into research and development, we produce some of the world’s most high-performing guided weapons and explosive ordnance systems. And being at the forefront of a rapidly evolving industry gives our teams constant opportunities to build on their technical expertise.
The Mulwala facility, a chemical manufacturing plant, plays a vital role in supporting Australia’s sovereign capability by producing essential chemicals, propellants, and explosives. .
Working at our Mulwala site, Yorta Yorta land, your role purpose is to -
Lead and mentor Maintenance Team Leaders and their teams and ensure compliance, reliability, and operational excellence
Drive HSE compliance and asset management best practices
Coordinate maintenance services to meet production and contractual goals
Optimise resources for predictive and preventative maintenance
Manage CMMS utilisation and controls, preferably MAXIMO
Oversee contractors and site services including Landcare & Fire Protection
Champion continuous improvement and industry best practices
Participate in audits, incident investigations, and implement corrective actions
On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:
Must have solid maintenance experience in an industrial environment
Expertise in preventative maintenance and supervising trades personnel
Proven leadership with change management skills
Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office + CMMS (MAXIMO preferred)
Familiarity with RCA, RCM, FMEA and comprehensive safety management (JSEAs, SWMS, Hazop)
Experience in petrochemical, explosives, or chemical manufacturing industries
Project management capabilities
Electrical hazardous area experience is an advantage
Minimum trade qualification; higher qualifications a plus
Availability to work site based

A Defence security clearance is required for this role; applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
