Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Sr. Production Planner to join our growing team. Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Sr. Production Planner will play a critical part in driving the successful execution of complex production schedules by aligning cross-functional teams, resources, and priorities. Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Sr. Production Planner partners closely with engineering, operations, supply chain, and program stakeholders to maintain schedule accuracy, track progress, and deliver clear performance insights that keep our spacecraft programs moving forward.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end production planning and material readiness to ensure assemblies, sub-assemblies and components are available to support build schedule.
- Coordinate closely with supply chain, manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to ensure availability aligns with production requirements and program milestones.
- Manage production priorities and schedule alignment across multiple parallel programs.
- Monitor schedule adherence and ensure assemblies and integration milestones are delivered on time.
- Identify material shortages, supply chain risks, and schedule conflicts early and lead cross-functional recovery plan to maintain production flow.
- Partner with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure long-lead materials and critical components are aligned with production schedules.
- Facilitate regular cross-functional production readiness meetings, communicating schedule status, risks, mitigation strategies.
- Present schedule status, risks, and recovery plans to leadership.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, management, or a related discipline (years of experience may be a substitute for degree)
- 8+ years of experience as a production planner/scheduler
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end material planning and production readiness for complex assemblies.
- Strong understanding of MRP/ERP planning processes, including demand planning, material allocation, and production scheduling.
- Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience, particularly supporting complex electromechanical and mechanical assemblies.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple programs and production priority simultaneously.
- Strong communication and influence skills, with demonstrated ability to present schedule status, risks, and mitigation strategies in large cross-functional meetings and executive level reviews.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) or other schedule performance measurement systems.
- U.S. Person or lawful permanent resident to comply with U.S. government space technology export regulations.

Physical Demands
An employee must meet the physical demands described to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
