Infrastructures Engineer

Design, construction and delivery of Infrastructures for teleport and ground station (Antenna Foundations, Buildings, Equipment Room, Electrical Plant, HVAC systems)

Required Qualification and Skills:

• Degree in Civil Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering
• Attitude to Technical Project Management, teamwork and passion for the space sector.
• Good attitude to produce technical documentation
• Good knowledge of AUTOCAD
• Fluent written and spoken English;
• Availability to travel, not limited to Telespazio Teleports but also including worldwide destinations for limited period of times, is required.

Preferred Qualification and Skills

• Knowledge of Civil works technologies
• Knowledge of Thermal and air conditioning system principle and functionalities
• Knowledge of electrical power distribution systems
• Experience in the use of AUTOCAD to draw layout of building and utilities plant diagrams
• Experience in the development of project documentation (Technical Note, Product technical specification, Statement of work)
• Experience in the application of safety norms (D.lgs. 81/08)

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Design of infrastructures for satellite communications ground station (Datacenter, Control Room, Antenna foundations, Internal layout buildings upgrade)
• Supervision of the construction phases of infrastructures for facilities implementation.
• Development of projects for the upgrade of facility utilities and auxiliary systems: electrical power distribution systems, air conditioning systems, access control system, Fire detection systems.
• Definition of structured data cabling of operational areas
• Development of technical-economic proposals for tenders

Main activities consist of the following:

• Requirements analysis
• Development of building upgrade layout
• Definition of the architecture and technical specifications of Infrastructures and related plant upgrade
• Development of technical notes, product technical specification and statement of work
• Infrastructure project technical management
• Technical management of the procurement.
• Technical management of the subcontractors
• Progress supervision and control during works with respect to estimated times and costs
• Management of the construction and installation, integration and testing activities.
