Raytheon is seeking an experienced Material Program Manager (MPM) professional to support the LADS SBU and PF&M SSBU for a program located in Tucson, AZ. Candidates must be able to succeed in a fast paced development environment and possess excellent time management/prioritization skills.  Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), leadership abilities, and the ability to work well in a matrixed IPT environment are also important.  Must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and able to interface with all levels of internal and supplier management. The successful candidate will be directly accountable for ensuring overall program execution of materials management including cost/schedule/quality, and management of supplier performance.

In this role, you will leverage Supply Chain, technical knowledge, and process capability expertise to improve supplier performance and support. You will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and the broader Supply Chain organization to drive Raytheon requirements for manufacturing and quality capabilities of suppliers, and improvement of supplier hardware for schedule and affordability. You will be the catalyst for program execution of Supplier Engagement Strategy activities including ensuring appropriate budget, resource, schedule, and execution.

THIS IS AN ONSITE ROLE IN TUCSON, AZ.

What You Will Do:

  • Drive Purchase Requisition generation & Purchase Order placement/management by working closely with Production Control, Purchasing, and Finance.
  • Report program status and communicate critical issues to external and internal customers, as well as offer solutions and assist in implementing corrective action(s).
  • Drive successful completion of material deliveries with potentially aggressive schedules.
  • Support CAM(s) in managing material budgets and EACs for the program(s).
  • Support lead make/buy/where process.
  • Assist with generation of Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW).
  • Monitor performance metrics to proactively manage supplier performance and communicate larger concerns to functional leadership.
  • Up to 25% domestic travel may be required.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
  • Previous Supply Chain experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • 3+ years in a supply chain focused role
  • EVMS certification
  • Experience managing suppliers or projects
  • Financial acumen
  • Strong supplier negotiation skills with the ability to identify and execute cost reduction opportunities
  • Experience in manufacturing operations and/or production control
  • Experience leading or participating in cross-functional teams
  • Experience in desktop computing tools (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Projects

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
