Pratt & Whitney has an immediate opportunity within the Military Engines Fighter & Mobility (F&M) Finance Team for an Associate Director, F100/APU Program CFO.

The position will be located onsite at our East Hartford, Connecticut campus location.

What You Will Do:

This position, as F100/APU CFO, provides the unique opportunity to build and demonstrate leadership skills while fostering relationships in a dynamic setting across multiple functional groups. 

The position has P&L, Balance Sheet responsibility and significant exposure to P&W and Military Engines senior executives.  The ideal candidate is an energetic, instinctive, self-starter interested in leading teams, improving the accounting, reporting, and financial processes while growing businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

- Partner with the F100/APU Program Executive Director and the program leadership teams to drive strategic initiatives and assess impact of business decisions on the financial results.

- Oversee and direct all financial activities (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash), including monthly actuals & forecast, R&O, Long Range Plan (LRP), and strategic financial analysis/reporting.

- Manage the financial aspects of proposals and negotiations for government and commercial customers, ensuring optimal financial outcomes.

- Cultivate strong cross-functional collaboration with programs, operations, SIOP, FP&A, accounting, legal, and other key stakeholders. 

- Lead and develop a high-performing team of leaders, fostering growth and collaboration. 

- Ensure standard work is current and complete, drive process improvements to your existing processes and optimize maturity to meet/exceed CORE expectations.

- Ensure internal controls are adequately functioning and that internal and external audits are fully supported.

Qualifications You Must Have:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with a minimum of 12 years of applicable work experience; OR an advanced degree in accounting or finance and 10+ years of applicable work experience.

- Possess a working knowledge of SAP, business warehouse and OneStream financial reporting.

- Demonstrates strong attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.

Qualifications We Prefer:

- Knowledge of government contract accounting.

- Process improvement champion.

- Ability to shift between programs and issues while maintaining a working level knowledge of key challenges.

- Excellent analytical skills including variance analysis (intellectual inquisitiveness) and strong business judgment, advanced understanding of business strategy and financial modeling, and developing and implementing a long-range financial plan. 

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build customer relations with internal and external customers.

- Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders to achieve results.

- Manufacturing experience.

- Experience working in an “actual cost” environment.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
