Role:
Northwood is seeking an experienced Facilities Specialist to oversee the day-to-day operations as we transition into a 180,000 sq ft facility. This role will be responsible for building scalable facilities systems, overseeing building operations, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-performing work environment. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in building systems, owning large-scale projects, and bringing structure to growing operations.
Responsibilities:
Act as the main liaison with landlords/property managers while maintaining strong working relationships
Oversee all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, safety, security) including onboarding, performance, and maintenance
Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs and facilities systems (work orders, contracts, reporting)
Coordinate repairs, emergency response, inspections, permits, and ensure regulatory compliance
Manage vendors, contracts, invoices, budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities
Support office projects (moves, renovations, expansions), procurement, and general facilities-related operations
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience working in facilities, operations, or construction management, preferably in large-scale commercial or industrial environments
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to take ownership of issues proactively and derive solutions in a fast-moving environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong understanding of building systems and preventive maintenance programs
Demonstrated experience managing vendors, contracts, and budgets
Familiarity with regulatory compliance and safety requirements
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation is determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a base-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, and technical capabilities. In addition to base salary, Northwood Space offers long term incentives such as company stock, stock options, and cash awards, as well as discretionary bonus for performance.
