Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Staff Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst to join its team of diverse and qualified individuals. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program in the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) division. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Setting up cost control system, monitoring and controlling costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system
- Performing analysis and preparing reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines
- Preparing budgets and schedules for contract work and performing and/or assisting in financial analyses
- Preparation of expenditure projections
- Incorporating contractual changes into control systems
- Performing miscellaneous financial analysis as required
- Estimate and completion and forecast related activities
- Participating in month-end cost reporting close activities
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with 12 years of related experience; or a Master's degree with 10 years; or a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 16 years of experience
- Experience with MS Office Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel(including Pivot tables, Vlook Up, VBA and Macros)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and data visualization tools
- Extensive experience with EVMS Software (i.e., SAP, SAP BW, Deltek Cobra, Open Plan, MPM, Acumen One IWO, Primavera P6)
- 3 or more years' experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) Principals and applying Earned Value Techniques in an Aerospace & Defense environment
- Experience creating and maintaining QBD's
- Experience managing and analyzing project costs using Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
- Experience supporting contracts with EVMS requirements
- Experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Program Cost Analysis or Program Scheduling
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Training development
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Program Cost Analysis or Program Scheduling
- Aerospace/Defense industry experience
- Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience
- Experience working in Deltek Cobra
- Strong analytical ability
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
