Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer/Staff Systems Engineer to serve as the R&V Lead in support a program out of our Fairfax, VA location.

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will lead the R&V team while performing the following tasks:

• Leading requirement development from system down to element level.

• Providing guidance to the System team.

• Auditing previously generated requirement, and ensuring all R&V products are meeting customer expectations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Sr. Principal Systems Engineer/Staff Systems Engineer : Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of experience, a master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of experience or a PhD with 7 years of experience.

• Active TS/SCI clearance or have an active TS with SCI eligibility.

• Experience as an R&V Lead.

• Experience with Ground system development.

• Experience with requirement development within CAMEO.

• Experience with R&V product generation: VCRMs, RVPs, etc.

• Experience with agile systems engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Mission 1.

• Experience with SAIC Validation Suite.

• Experience working with geographically dispersed teams.

• Experience working a proposal effort or accelerated schedule program.

• Experience with configuration control mechanisms within CAMEO.

Primary Level Salary Range: $177,000.00 - $265,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
