Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (MS) located in Annapolis Junction, MD is seeking a Staff SAP Business Partner to manage SAP manufacturing, production, and material requirements planning functionality. This person will develop SAP computer systems specifications that address Manufacturing and Logistics Operation requirements and that fit with the company's system architecture standards in both ERP1 and ERP2. This person will be responsible for leading discussions to combine ERP1 and ERP2 into one system, 1ERP, starting in 2025.
The SAP Staff Business Partner supports the manufacturing operations functions within the SAP/ERP environment. This includes all Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Manufacturing locations/ departments.
The Staff Business Partner acts as the spokesman for the MS manufacturing business operation’s customer requirements to the ES ERP IT support team. He or she will be in close communications with the MS customer base to prioritize SAP enhancements, document requirements, communications, and implementations of new SAP functionality. Additionally, this person will be responsible to cross functionally communicate with other SAP Business Partners as required from a team lead perspective to support successful ERP operations.
The Staff Business Partner will lead the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards in ERP. The Staff Business Partner should be able to lead the discussion on the development of new principles and concepts within the ERP functionality. The Staff Business Partner will lead the development of solutions to ERP problems which will require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. The Staff Business Partner will be responsible to ensure the solutions are consistent with manufacturing objectives.
Many assignments are complex and will be performed independently. The Staff Business Partner will be the lead in determining objectives and course of action pertaining to the assignment. The Staff Business Partner will be leading the discussions for the decisions that are long-lasting and heavily influence the future course of the manufacturing organization for the corporation.
The Staff Business Partner serves as an ERP spokesperson for both of the ERP systems on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives.
This position may be filled as a hybrid role at our Annapolis Junction, MD location and candidates are required to be local to the site. If not local to the site, relocation will be on your own. Selection will be based on the most qualified candidate.
Basic Qualifications for the Staff Computer Systems Analyst:
- Bachelor's degree and 12 or more years of relevant experience in operations, production, manufacturing, quality, industrial engineering, software development or equipment maintenance; OR a Master's degree and 10 years of experience will be considered; OR 16 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with MPLM and SAP material masters
Preferred Qualifications Staff Computer Systems Analyst:
- Experience with SAP business processes in manufacturing and production
- Experience in manufacturing, materials / production planning
- Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- Experience with MS Access, Oracle and /or database architecture and design including SQL
- Experience in defense, aerospace, or security industries
- Technical experience working in a manufacturing/production environment
