Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Senior Principal Supply Chain Business Operations/Compliance Specialist Level 4 or 5 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is on the GSC Compliance team and may be located in one the following locations:  Melbourne, Fla, Redondo Beach, CA, San Diego, CA, El Segundo, CA, Clearfield, Utah. There will be 10% travel required between multiple sites and locations.

Responsible for processes and activities within supply chain related operations and/or compliance such as regulatory compliance, systems and technology, data analytics and performance, international supply chain, operational excellence and supply base diversity. Manages, develops or supports strategic direction and tactical execution of governance (policy, procedure, processes, etc.), priorities, initiatives and related activities.

The successful candidate will perform PACE audits, provide compliance support to the procurement organization, review procedures, support the training team with compliance guidance, support annual customer audits, and interface with Supply Chain Management processes and personnel at all levels to ensure the success in sector compliance.

Responsibilities include the audit of procurement packages, support sector customer audits, review procedures for accuracy and any needed clarification, compliance support in training classes, mentoring procurement employees in compliance, remain up to date in FAR/DFAR regulations, Terms and Conditions Contract Instructions and Addenda clauses.

Successful candidate must remain up to date in FAR/DFAR regulations, Terms and Conditions, Program addenda clauses, sector procedures, develop in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for positions of increasing responsibility and increasing personnel effectiveness in present assignments. SAP knowledge a plus.

Candidate must have experience in Global Supply Chain roles.  Position requires coordination and collaboration with key stakeholders to include, but not limited to, Contracts, Engineering, Quality, Strategic Sourcing, Planning, Operations and Program Management. Prior hands-on management of suppliers / subcontracts for both US Government and non-US Government programs. 

Basic Qualifications Level 4:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience, a Master’s degree with 6 years of experience or a PHD with 4 years of experience. Experience must be related to Procurement, Subcontracts, Peer Review of Packages and/or Audits, Organization Effectiveness, and/or other related industry experience.

  • Prior experience in audit (internal or external) reviews.

  • Experience with procurement / subcontracts.

  • Knowledge of terms and conditions, and program contract flow-downs (FAR/DFAR regulations).

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level (or above) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as deemed appropriate by the company to meet business objectives.

  • Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of experience, a Master’s degree with 10 years of experience or a PHD with 8 years of experience. Experience must be related to Procurement, Subcontracts, Peer Review of Packages and/or Audits, Organization Effectiveness, and/or other related industry experience.

  • Prior experience in audit (internal or external) reviews.

  • Experience with procurement / subcontracts.

  • Knowledge of terms and conditions, and program contract flow-downs (FAR/DFAR regulations).

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level (or above) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as deemed appropriate by the company to meet business objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of SAP.

  • Prior experience working with suppliers/subcontracts for both US Government and non-US Government programs as a Buyer or SCA.

  • Current DoD Secret level or above in active status.  OR can obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $126,400.00 - $189,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
