We are looking for an experienced Sr. Principal (level 4) Software Engineer to augment our team. Successful candidates will support the Processing Team in the development of tasking and scheduling software. Candidate will have strong JAVA experience, software design, software unit testing, Kubernetes, Docker, microservice architecture and object orientated design and experience with Vue or React. Some experience with keycloak, NodeJS framework, Front End GUI design and implementation would be preferred. Software Engineer will be on an Agile team supporting two programs with a singular baseline. Will be working in the office executing 2-week Sprints for 3 month increment deliveries. This position will be based in Aurora, CO.
About our organization: As a engineer, you'll be joining our growing Aurora Software and Digital Engineering department which has 200+ Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Systems Administrator, Database Administrator, and Network Engineer peers from entry-level to the most senior chief engineers and architects. Principal Software Engineers frequently get into informal (example: Subject Matter Expert) and formal technical leadership roles within their programs, as applicable and per interest. We have plenty of opportunities for career advancement into higher level technical roles or leadership positions. Our Software Department is part of a larger organization that includes Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test staff as well as a Hardware Engineering unit. This larger organization influences cross-program collaboration, professional development and training, as well as engagement and inclusion activities such as lunch-n-learns, campus events, and leadership mixers.
Basic Qualifications:
Level 4: Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of relative experience; master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 6+ years of relative experience; PhD + 4 year of relative experience. An additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required at time of application
Successful candidates will have be a strong JAVA developer
Successful candidates will be experienced with software design and software unit testing
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, microservices architecture and object oriented designs
Experience with Vue and Reach.
Preferred Qualifications:
Some experience with keycloak, NodeJS framework, Front End GUI design and implementation would be preferred.
