Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is looking for a Principal/Sr. Principal Engineer Systems based out of Huntsville, Alabama for the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) efforts.Β IBCS delivers a single integrated air picture with unprecedented accuracy and broadens surveillance and protection areas. By implementing IBCS into their militaries, the US and other nations are transforming their integrated missile defense capabilities in a consistent manner. Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Perform analysis at all levels of total system product life cycle to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Basic Qualifications:
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (Cameo, MagicDraw, SysML) experience
- Active Secret Security Clearance
Principal: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Years with PhD.
- 2+ years MBSE experience behavioral, structural/physical, logical, and requirements models
- Proven ability to define high-level functional and performance requirements and verification methods
- Experience with analysis, decomposition, derivation of requirements.
- Experience with tracking change requests through design, verification, integration, and operational validation.
Preferred qualifications:
- INCOSE Certification or equivalent preferred, or 2 years of experience in MBSE modeling
- Experience with MBSE model traceability, patches, merging and branching
- Proven ability to allocate lower-level requirements to physical and functional architectural elements.
- Computer networking and topology experience.
