Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for either a DevOps Engineer (Level 2) or a Principal DevOps Engineer (Level 3). This position is located in Redondo Beach, CA.
What you’ll get to do?
As a DevOps Engineer, you will have a passion for developing and automating creative solutions. Key areas of responsibly include system analysis, design, develop, build, test, implement, and maintain various systems to meet functional objectives of the business. We cover a wide variety of technologies including Jenkins, Fortify, Ansible, Atlassian suite, TeamForge, ASP, Visual Build, Docker, Kubernetes and many more. You will Implement provisioning and deployment techniques via packaging, containerizing or Cloud distribution. You will function with agile principles to execute efficiently in an environment of continuous feedback. You will ensure implementation of Software Configuration Management (SCM), code quality, and code coverage with automated testing for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.
Basic Qualifications:
- DevOps Engineer (T02): 2 years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree; 0 years with Master's degree; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Principal DevOps Engineer (T03): 5 years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree; 3 years with Master's degree; 1 year with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Active TS/SCI required at the time of application
- Experience with CI/CD Pipeline functions
- Experience with Jira, Jenkins and Git/Version Control Software
- Ability to communicate and present technical information at different organizational levels
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Security + certification
- Experience creating, developing, and implementing solutions to address requirements
- Ability to identify needs for automation, designing and implementing of CICD solutions
- Experience working with containers
- Familiarity with API Security and Container Security
- Experience with Agile development
- Experience with developing microservices
- Experience with Linux and Ansible
