Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Linthicum, MD is seeking an Associate Systems Test Engineer to support on-site test bench operations for the Assembly, Integration and Test (AI&T) of a production Space Payload program.
Responsibilities include executing test scripts for the verification of Software, Hardware, and System requirements for applications in Space.Β Understanding of RF (Radio Frequency) systems, especially RADAR, SIGINT, or COMMS; programming and scripting skills; and, working knowledge of RF test equipment (Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Power Meters, etc.) is desired.
Basic Qualifications:
BS in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) with at least 1 year of relevant experience with integration and test or operation and maintenance of sensor systems, ideally RADAR
Willingness to work dedicated 1st shift (5 AM - 1 PM, Mon - Fri), or 2nd shift (1 PM - 9 PM, Mon - Fri), or 3rd shift (9 PM - 5 AM, Sun night - Fri morning); and occasional weekends as needed
No clearance required to start
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret clearance and SCI approval/access.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with RADAR and/or ESA (Electronically Scanned Array) integration and test
Experience with Space Payload or Space Vehicle (Satellite) integration and test in a clean room environment
Programming in C or MATLAB for understanding and editing/improving existing code
Scripting in Python or Tcl for understanding and editing/improving existing scripts
Experience with Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket
An active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.
