Mission Brief
We are looking for a committed and qualified professional as an Avionics Technician to strengthen our avionics team. You will make a significant contribution to quality in the production of cable harnesses and avionics assemblies (electronic) for our carrier systems. In this role, you will actively participate in the manufacturing and scaling of our launch systems – from the prototype phase to flight design.
For this position, solid knowledge in the electrical field is required, ideally with extensive experience in the production of cable harnesses or avionics assemblies.
Your Role in Our Space Mission:
- Building and testing cable harnesses for our launcher Spectrum or test applications
- Assembly and testing of avionics "assemblies" for the development of Spectrum
- Documentation of manufacturing and testing tasks with MES/PLM
- Questioning and suggesting improvements to technical designs
- Optimization of existing processes and continuous improvement of workflows
- Supporting other areas of production and avionics in their daily tasks
- Modification of printed circuit boards
- Participation in the development and implementation of testing procedures/processes to ensure the quality of cable harnesses
- Support with the integration of cable harnesses and units into the engines and the launch vehicle

- Good handling of measuring devices or measurement equipment
- Practical experience, e.g., in the production of cable harnesses and electronic assemblies
- Practical experience with soldering irons and soldered connections
- Good knowledge in handling Microsoft Office products and other common software
- Excellent organization and initiative with a high level of attention to detail
- Fluent in English, German language skills are an advantage
Bonus Skills
- Knowledge of sensors/sensor signals and testing equipment
- Experience with automated cable harness testing devices
- Experience in conducting thermal or vibration tests
- Experience with MES, ERP, and/or PLM systems
- Practical experience in soldering printed circuit boards
- 3+ years of practical experience in the manufacturing and assembly of cable harnesses and electronic assemblies
- Practical knowledge with general electrical/electronic devices
- Good handling of measuring devices or measurement equipment
- Practical experience, e.g., in the production of cable harnesses and electronic assemblies
- Practical experience with soldering irons and soldered connections
- Good knowledge in handling Microsoft Office products and other common software
