Technical Lead - FPGA Design & Verification

Location: Bangalore - Indraprastha, India

Technical Lead - FPGA Design & Verification

As a Technical Lead FPGA Design and Verification, you will be a major actor in the FPGA development and Verification

  • Developing FPGA design requirements, architecture development.

  • RTL development using VHDL, test through developer test benches in simulation environment.

  • Develop timing constraints, conduct timing analysis and timing closure

  • Optimize designs to meet performance requirements.

  • Implementation on target FPGA

  • Integration of FPGA with Hardware board and software, debug, solve integration issues and physical verification.

  • Mentor, drive and guide team members to achieve project objectives

  • Understand and follow required defined development process, create required document artefacts and participate in milestone audits like PDR, CDR, SOI.

  • Creation of detailed work breakdown for planned execution, identify risk and dependency

Skills Required

Mandatory Skills:

  • Electronics/ Electrical Engineering with 8 to 15 years of experience on FPGA designs, design optimizations, design integration on hardware, test and problem solving

  • Strong understanding and design knowledge of digital logic, analysis and debug

  • Hands-on experience in RTL development for FPGA using VHDL/Verilog.

  • Proficiency with timing analysis and timing closures for FPGA.

  • Proficiency in developing timing constraints and solving CDC issues

  • Proficiency in FPGA design tools like Vivado/Vitis, Quartus and Libero.

  • Proficiency in integrating commercially available IP in the target FPGA design environment

  • Understanding and hands on experience in Different bus protocols like I2C, SPI, QSPI, UART, AXI4, MII, RGMII, GMII, MDIO, DDR3/4, PCIe, JTAG, Gigabit Ethernet

  • FPGA verification, developing test case and test benches, debug and simulation

  • Integration and test with Hardware and Software

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in AMD Ultrascale+ FPGA and Versal Devices

Good to have

  • Knowledge of Hardware, Board and different components like ADC, DAC, Serial Memory, Display Interface

  • Usage of Lab Equipment like DSO, Logic Analyzer

  • Scripting in TCL

  • DO-254 development process

Educational Qualification

Bachelor or Masters in Electronics & Communication or equivalent
