Job Description
Mission Brief
As Associate CEO-Office, you will serve in a high-impact role reporting to the Chief of Staff to the CEO and working in close partnership with both the Chief of Staff and the CEO. You will play a fundamental role in driving company-wide strategy execution, enabling executive decision-making, and leading cross-functional transformation initiatives. In this highly visible role, you will orchestrate the planning and delivery of strategic projects, proactively identify and resolve organizational challenges, and ensure that the CEO, Chief of Staff and leadership team are equipped with data-driven and AI-powered insights. Your technical background - particularly your fluency in AI and automation - will be instrumental in developing the systems and tools that empower company steering, reporting, and performance management.
Your Role in Our Space Mission
- Drive the execution of company-wide strategic initiatives, ensuring objectives are translated into actionable plans and delivered with measurable impact.
- Play a key role in design, implementation, and continuous improvement of strategic planning cycles (annual and quarterly), including goal setting, KPI architecture, and leadership alignment.
- Architect, automate, and optimize executive reporting, dashboards, and business processes using advanced AI tools - delivering real-time insights for company steering and decision-making at the highest level.
- Support the executive governance model by preparing agendas, pre-reads, and decision records for leadership meetings, and ensure rigorous follow-up on action items. Participation in leadership meetings may be required on occasion.
- Lead cross-functional task forces and program-manage high-priority, mission-critical initiatives from scoping through execution and delivery.
- Synthesize data from various functions, workstreams and projects, leveraging AI for advanced analytics and business intelligence to inform strategic decisions.
- Prepare and deliver high-impact executive materials - including Board contents, CEO presentations and strategic narratives.
- Champion continuous improvement: drive initiatives to optimize the effectiveness of the CEO-Office and its interfaces with the broader organization.
- Support and, where needed, deputize for the Chief of Staff in leadership and business continuity roles.
- Represent the CEO-Office in executive-level meetings, workshops, strategic offsites, and external events as required.
- Provide clear, actionable solutions and recommendations on complex, ambiguous challenges.
- Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.
Qualification Checklist
- University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline; significant experience in AI, automation, or data-driven business process improvement is highly valued.
- 3+ years of professional experience at the intersection of engineering and business, such as Technical Sales, Solutions Engineering, or Product Management—ideally within a leading technology or aerospace organization.
- Proven track record of driving cross-functional strategic initiatives, leading program management, and influencing executive stakeholders.
- Demonstrated expertise in leveraging AI and automation to transform business processes, reporting, and decision-making.
- Advanced skills in structuring complex, ambiguous problems into clear analyses, solutions, and actionable recommendations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to prepare and present information for both technical and non-technical executive audiences.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint and Excel); experience with data analytics, AI tools, and project/collaboration platforms is a strong plus.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple high-impact projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience influencing and aligning cross-functional teams and senior leaders in high-velocity settings.
- Comfort working with confidential and sensitive information; willingness to undergo vetting as required.
- Fluent in spoken and written English; German language skills are an advantage.
